~ Judgement ~

Unless you know to judge well, you can not perform well -- this is our usual understanding while relating to everyday actions in the world. True, we need to know but we need not go for a judgement but be aware of the distinguishing features.

Judgement lets one to polarities --good/bad, favourable/unfavourable, light/darkness etc.. In awareness, it just lets us have a clear picture of happening and not happening. There are no emotional negativity associated with the happenings. There are no disappointments in awareness for there is no expectations. We dont say, if the sun rises at 6am --thats good and if the sun shows up at 7am its bad. We only say, the sun is up or its on the way.

In awareness, instead of just two poles, there is also an ever existing possibility. This or that and also there can be both. So, instead of a sharp cut into two pieces, its like a piece with all possibilities at all times. That exactly lets one to view it moment to moment. Contrast to judgement where its pushed to either poles, in awareness its a flow from moment to moment.

Creation is whole and hence created too has to be whole. The ratio of the combination of the so called positive and negative varies with each person at various moments. So to label one just reflects one's own ignorance. Same time not to be aware of the happening too reflects one's own ignorance. When you judge, you react. When you are aware, you respond.

When you step out of the house, you dont expect the tree to greet you, the bird to sing. If the wind and the tree are in love, you get greeted by the swaying of the branches and leaves. If the wind fails to visit the tree, then its not that the tree is angry and expresses anger. It still remains standing there as elegantly as ever just that its in love with its own self. Its the human mind, interpreting every move and lead to judgement. In awareness, the natural love of the innate nature is ever abiding irrespective of the expression.

Being in essence connects to the essence and responds to the expression...

Beautiful post merging point, many of us think that by experience we have the capacity to judge anybody and that too in the first meeting it self. being receptive with open mind and awareness allows us to connect with the essence.
Being in essence connects to the essence and responds to the expression .... simple and profound.

merging point, i think in many cultures we grow up on the idea of dominance (or oppression) and the idea of an unseen enemy. reactivity becomes a habit and replaces acceptance, tolerance, and rational thought. in the end, we hurt ourselves with our readiness to anger, more than anybody else.

in dissecting reality, we fragment it. in fragmenting it, we lose perspective and a holistic orientation, therefore further impeding awareness and self-growth.

thanks for the stimulating post! :)

Yes Lynda, wrong habitualization leading to misery only. The first victim of fragmentation is the one who is fragmented and then ofcourse all others who come into contact.
Thanks for expanding and sharing.
This is so inspiring, it has brought me to tears!!!

You are quite right. By making a judgement or giving something a label, we freeze it in the image we have just applied. But what if it later changes? Will we be alive enough to notice - or will we only see the image we have frozen in our memory?

Dear JJ! you relate so well...lol

Hi Simon
An interesting query.
Judgement arises when disconectivity happens within one's own self. Whenever the connectivity takes place, we understand the faulty image and naturally the Real replaces the faulty frozen image.Just like when we wear our shades and watch the white object and call it coloured. Removing the shade and seeing it real reveals the whiteness. the object remains the same. Our ability to identify the shades, remove and let the seeing happen is whats all about. Meditation is that tool to connectivity to happen. Awareness is the precious gift of connectivity.

Very interesting post Merging Point. I really don't like to judge anything, because all around us was created for a reason. Anna :)

Thank you Anna!
Im not sure if creation has happened for a reason but such a thinking onceagain can trap you into the game of judging.

I really like the detail you add to this reflection. We can always learn about new perspectives. You write so well!

Some people aim to evolve away from judgement altogether so that they learn not to distinguish among what is good or bad. Rather, they chalk it all up to meaningful experience and choose to gain things.

Thank you for the compliment Liara!

All that happens is truly meant for one's own knowing the Real self.
