Pre + tension = Pretension Self explanatory! There are two ways of pretending. One to make a living, another to block living. Making a living -- An actor on stage has to pretend to portray the character on stage or screen. The mind is involved but its not caught with the character. Its a mask worn to earn his living, yes he gets well paid if he plays the role very well. There is a pre tension in this too but gets dissolved with the character. There are no impressions or residue left in the realm of the mind, no matter its joy or sorrow. The entire concept works on the surface. Infact he would be looked at differently only if he carries on the same character in real life too. Knowing its a play, wears the mask, plays it well and gets rewarded very well too! Block living -- shifting gears, looking at the reality -- day to day living!
