~ Platter to ponder ~

Healthy food for the mind, once again from the home of "Creation". Nature representing a huge platter for the consumers, the human being.

Fruit platters, one of the prominent eye catchers for many and taste ticklers for some does find its importance in the banquets. let us just walk along with the creator of the platter for sometime to discover the creation. The chef, well versed with the various availability of the fruits, initially draws a map of the platter in his mind. Selection, segregation and skill full preparation of each one of them is indeed a process of patience and perseverance. Thankfully, the fruit in all its surrender blossoms beautifully for its own self and also by remaining supportive and accepting and not judging and justifying the rest, lets the platter also blossom fully. Even the non consuming fruit has its place as a decorative piece. The mind(fruit) missing here lets them all happen by the one mind, the human being.

Blessed with a potential mind, invariably, the human being brings in unknown breakers especially because of its own limitedness. Confined by the live wires of fear and insecurity, it not only draws a zone for its own self but unfortunately keeps signalling the "non approachability". Possibility of becoming a victim of the live wire is possible for any one but it is the very same mind that enables one to know the live wire and remove it too. Like wise, it is the awareness that also helps the mind to identify the live wire, diffuse and let it happen.

The mind when connected with one's own self, turns out to be a chef and presents the platter of various fruits. Creator, the Master of all known, has presented both the consumable and non consumable fruits. It is for us to know them, allow them as needed and be ready to ignore them too. The jack fruit known for its sweetness is not an easy one to access. we need to apply the oil in our hands even before we venture to reach them. That's the way creation is. It is only an ignorant who would keep away from cherishing the sweetness by giving excuses of playing it safe, laziness etc.

Let us connect to our own self and let the platter happen!

Hello Merging Point,

Brilliant metaphor!

When we can say yes to the blessings of our divine aspect, and accept the limitations imposed by the mind, going beyond them, the greatness of who we truly are, will reveal itself in all its glory.

Thanks for your earthy wisdom!

Liked the way you said it Rachel,
"sometimes it is difficult to know when to feed and when to fast.'

yes, it is like what and when to pick or drop that makes the vital difference. Thats what awareness is all about. To know a fruit as a poisonous one, yet use it only as a decorative piece or just leave it as it is on the tree or even be prepared to discard when needed. I suppose, it is the right attachment and the right detachment that arises out of the right connectivity.

After all, it is just a sport! bound to have some slips and slides here and there...

Yes, as in the fruit platter, all fruit serves a purpose, it is for us to discern the purpose of each and to understand that the often the tastiest of fruits lie hidden in an unattractive and difficult to access outer shell.
