In today's world of shopping, most of the products especially the clothes come with one or many tags like price tag, fabric care tag etc. The tags are the ones that lets us know the prime detail -- the price tag. The cost that lets us decide whether we can afford it, whether the cost is right for the product etc. It is the information which is vital in deciding to buy the product.

Once the product is bought, the first thing that needs to be removed from the dress before wearing it, is the tag. We ensure that even the string(which is used to tie it ) is cleanly removed, else, it can cause uneasiness while wearing the dress. That which helped in deciding or providing information becomes useless once its work is over. It just needs to be dropped or else it becomes a hindrance in the usage.

Life with many situations, associations and relationships too come along with these tags. It is for us to read them well, decide and then drop it. No doubt they have been instrumental in providing the right information but we need to know to proceed to the next step called applying only by dropping these tags. Removal of tags is only an indication to the right usage of the product. One can't wear the dress comfortably with a tag that which is especially tied with a string.

Merging Point well said, mind you I hate shopping, lol, and mind you too that there were times that I physically forgot to remove the price tag off my clothes, lol. Kidding side, very insightful post. Anna :)

Hi,
I am sorry but I don't agree with you on the last statement...Why must we drop these so called 'tags'? Its understandable to drop them when it comes to situations, but associations and relationships, I don't agree.

Dear Dolly, it is tags like dependency, expectations that may need to be dropped. it is not dropping the relationships and associations.

Hari Om!

If that is what you meant then I think you should add that one should get rid of the tag that comes attached with oneself too.

The real self has no tags. all these process that lead to the rediscovering of the self, may attimes have the tags and that only needs to be removed.

Hari om!

Let me apologise in advance for my comment but I feel your writing needs clarity. They're good ideas though. Looking forward to reading more.
Have a nice day.

Tags are like labels. Human beings are reluctant to detach from labels because they tend to represent a kind of security. As you learn the value of removing tags and labels, you also learn the value of the essence underneath a name or vision of an object. More exists than meets the eye. Our senses expand exponentially.
