~ Silence ~

In abundance you dwell deep within
To abide in your abundance
Is the grace of the Divine
Neither can see nor hear you
Yet alive to the fullness of stillness
That connects to you
My own, my beloved silence...

In Depth and Surface
--------------------
The breath apparently
And the thought in image
Touch this Silence
That we cannot fathom
The last two steps
To reach the deep
Oceans of its expanse
But the same is there
On the surface too
We know it not
'Cos we are lost
Often in the beauty
Of the rising, falling
And crashing waves.

Good one Indeed Swahilya!

Be the wave(movement)
Reach the depths(stillness)
remain the ocean
with the fragrance of both
Let it rise, let it fall
Know that you are...

If only I can be aware of this every moment! Abundance is so myself - nothing to long or strive for, nothing to become.
Silence is the biggest blessing of all. Peace be unto you.

Great post, Merging Point! Wild wave!

Merging Point, beautiful poem.
I very much enjoy silence, usually on Sunday morning, but then that crazy neighbour will come out with a lawnmotor. Anna :)

Thankyou Anna! cute pic of urs and mathew.
most of us mistake silence to exist only when there is no sound. Anna, once had this experience of being with the sound of crackers that took me to the depths of silence.
Your crazy neighbour can be highly instrumental. give it a try...

Silence is golden. Ever hear that phrase? What are your associations?

silence is golden -- yes, have heard manytimes. so habituated to describe everything, probably that's why silence too gets the adorning crown as golden. But, may be , silence is just silence.
probably, one can not associate with silence but can be dissolved and just be...

Merging Point, silence teaches human beings that labels and other descriptions are unnecessary. To just be prompts no thought, no action, no explanation. To rediscover value in idleness is a challenge for some.
