Looking into the deeper aspects of this system of owning unfolds the beauty of detached attachment. When you truly own, there is no fear of losing or not letting it go when needed. The freedom expressed in the real owning has the unshakable confidence and clarity.
In truth, one is aware that it is more like one operating or facilitating. Like for example, it is like having an account in a bank. you own the account and the money in the account too. Yet, when it is time to close the account, you just do it and move on to yet another. You operate the account but yet you are not responsible for the functioning of the bank. This body is like an account in a bank called the universal consciousness. You know your account and you know your bank too. With what is available in your account only, you can operate even though the bank might have the big big money. The major difference with this world bank called the universal consciousness -- there is no interest charged, no penal action. Always readily and willingly available for funds to fund one's own self. Gratitude is the non demanded returns to that eternal bank.
Possess -- here, one tends to have only and never could experience the beauty of its freedom. The fear of losing applies only in having and therefore letting go is yet another unimaginable one for the one who possesses. Simple acts like even to give away the old clothes when new ones arrive becomes a herculean task for the mind trapped in possessing.
Choice to own or to possess is in one's own clarity of thought.
