~ Freewill ~

You can do nothing about it
you can do everything about it

Whats it all about? The way, which had been paved exclusively for you is not a puzzle to solve or a way to mend. It exists as it is and you exist to see it as it is. Caught in a traffic jam, you can choose to get choked or choose to listen to the music in your vehicle. Its the outlook to the present prevailing condition that lets you choose the better for the bitter. Going for the better, the positive attitude is certainly welcoming yet beware of the bitter thats always waiting to make its entry. So whats the use of this living if i can do nothing about the way or the approach to the way? The Masters reveal the answer. The benediction that comes along with this birth to realize the real purpose of living is to know the use of Freewill to know The Self. Neither the positive nor the negative, but being a witness to the ways of life unfolds The Truth. Observe all thats happening around you, observe all thats not happening within you too to have the inner vision of the Self. The way exists and you realize you can do nothing about it. You exist and you realize, the Freewill lets you do everything about it, thats the way!

Merging Point, you said: 'Going for the better, the positive attitude is certainly welcoming yet beware of the bitter thats always waiting to make its entry.' - that is so true, and it is true that we cannot do nothing about it, but the freewill is powerful. Great post, Anna :)

Yes Anna! neither better nor bitter but just beyond!
Thanks and welcome Anna!
The test of truth is often when situations good and bad come barging in. But the crucial period is also the most liberating period when it is over. It is like being in the eye of the cyclone when the storm rages - one can travel along with the force of the storm, yet undisturbed.

True Swahilya! Unless good and bad is known, there is no beyond to experience. let them barge in but let us not bargain with them.
It is easier to step back and observe when we're in emotional pain and try to figure out what lesson we are suppose to learn while experiencing it, instead of letting the negative emotions cripple us. I have learned to do that to a degree and it makes me less tense.

Yes JJ. there are two ways to disassociate and observe. One from the object yet still in the emotion--joy or sorrow. another, disassociating from the object and the emotion and yet watch it. Just tell yourself, this joy or pain is not to my real self.
Jj, being a lover of nature, try this with your adventure too. you will get the hold.

I like how you describe we can move beyond judging positive or negative to where we finally discover and experience "Truth." We witness aspects of existence as a silent, astute observer. Which perspectives you willing to acknowledge? What behaviors are you prepared to change?

changing to ways that lead to the changeless is my way and henceforth all that which contribute towards that undergo the changes.
Good to hear your comments, Liara.
I will try this approach with nature, Merging Point. I am ready.

Hugs, JJ

I love the way you put it, "...you choose the better for the bitter." That's a great line, good advice for all of us no matter what age we are.

Nice post.

Have a nice day.

JJ, you are indeed such a sportive person. Practices with nature are much more wonderful.

Welcome to the blog, Swubird!
It only shows your learning interest and not being caught in the concept of age. Great.
