~ Attire and Accessory ~

In this creation, its surprising to notice that all other forms of creation from a unicell amoeba to our beloved ancestor, monkey remain in existence without any attire or accessory. Mankind is the only one who is all prepared with his extra fittings, clothing and awaiting the birth of the new born. The primitive man existed and was in tune with nature with his barest minimal attire.

When you look at the body of a man living in forest in tune with nature, it would be shining and glowing. Naturally naked is nature and there is so much to learn, admire and revel in it. The modern day man having accomplished the clothing concept with mankind, doesnot now spare his pets at home.

He has created a clown of himself and wants to add his pet to that clown family with the manmade clothes. Fortunately, unlike the man, the pets are yet to have the faculty for realisation if not you would find them demanding for the best just like the kids. Its the human mind, right from birth creates a veil of concepts that blinds the mind to see it as it is.

Just like how one claims, to protect the body from climatic conditions clothes are worn which eventually can lead to a lot of other subsidiaries like competition, comparison, jealousy for the best clothes. The mind too is inculcated to wear such clothes, cunningness etc to survive in this world.

The free flow, nakedness of the mind is lost over a period as the child grows to become an adult. The end result, one finds oneself like a bird in a golden cage. Realisation takes that turn within to find the way to one's own naked Truth. Attired outside yet not tied by the attire is the balancing act that goes with this body and mind with the world outside. The real Nirvana is not to be without clothes but to go back to the source of nakedness and remain in it. Gross to the body, subtle to the mind is the way to The Source!

yes, merging point, we are drowning in possesions and materialism, forgetting that we are just soul encased in protoplasm, organic beings who ignore our elemental truths.

what amazes me the most is how we destroy nature and then seek to recreate it by bringing pets and plants into our homes!

Well said Lynda! best part, bring them and not spare them too from our mind's confinement.

Interesting blog, In the process of civilisation, we have lost our innocence and natural self. We have lost those valuable things in bargain for technological advancement and external growth, internally we have become very poor, our experiences don't have any depth, most of our experiences are superficial and shallow. We have lost our connectivity with nature. Good One Merging Point.

Thank you Fruitu!
Just that we dont have to be lost but know to balance. Yes, rediscovering the connectivity is its all about to be in tune.
hmm...that's the way the world is!

Merging Point, oh I would love to wear a uniform all my life, lol. Shopping for clothes is very stressful, lol, for me, and my husband. This is really nice post and reminder especially how much focus we have towards material things and not towards the important things. Thanks for sharing, Anna :)

Dear mergingpoint,

sometimes I indulge in being a wisenheimer. The monkey is not our ancestor, because we are no evolutionary driect descendant of them.
I fear there are animals who use tools and bild homes like beaver and birds. The ants protect their form of sheep the greenfly.

But on a higher level, I completely agree to your message. ;-)
P.S. my cat uses me as a can opener that clever dog.

Merging Point, lol 'uniform--still worse and monotonous' - okay how about bamboo leafes lol.
I know it can be monotonous, but our body is constantly changing and may look different everyday, you know beuatiful stuff like hair growing, wrinkles being more distinct, lol, etc. etc. Anna :)

"Attired outside yet not tied by the attire is the balancing act that goes with this body and mind with the world outside."

How wondrously said. Jeff was just telling me yesterday how good I can look dressed up, but also how fast I am to get back into my comfy clothes. He said I "shake the dress up clothing off." :D

And I was just looking at pet clothes at Wal-Mart and wondering if pets ever liked wearing those items.

Hugs, JJ
