~ Ignorance ~

Ignorance blinds one's Self
Compassion sustains in stability

When a human is stuffed with the byproducts of ignorance called hate, jealousy, possessiveness, insecurity, fear etc -- it remains like a stuffed doll and loses its sense of love and compassion. This can be witnessed mostly in strained relationships, like between mother and son, married partners, friends. The strained relationship between two individuals can severe the link with one's own self if the individual lives in ignorance. This was so evident while witnessing the partners of a strained married life. The wife failed to take notice of the sudden deterioration in the health of the man until the daughter arrived in time to take the medical assistance most needed for the man. Its not that the wife was heartless, but just that ignorance virus named hate had spread all over her mind and she just could not even notice the seriousness. She did realize her foolishness how her ignorance had blinded her and didnot let her even to see that husband just as a man. This is the worst of cancer that can hit the mind and paralyse the essence of the human being, love and compassion. Once paralysed, its nolonger a vibrant living but a mere dead life. This is where meditation works wonders. No matter what the relationships are, great or worst, it would never let you be infected by the virus and get paralysed. Atleast it would let you see the man in a strained relationship as a man if not a husband. These are practical lessons to learn and be grateful to the source that had bestowed.

Its interesting how our brain can filter out what our senses have perceived, simply because something else had stimulated the brain to ignore certain things...

very insightful :)

Hello mergingpoint. Thank you for this dramatic post.
In relationships there are always two sides and I wonder how the story might be told out of the view form the man. What might he possibly could have contributed, that these event happened?
I agree with you, tha meditation is a wonderful remedy for all kinds of misled feelings.

Welcome to the blog, Rainer!
your comment is indeed appreciated.
very true! contributions do make an impact, but cant afford to let it blind one's self.
meditation is for remaining in balance and not being influenced by the ups and downs..yes we do get shaken up.

To become awareness of our own ignorance is a point of self-awareness that sets us up on a new learning curve. Meditation can indeed work wonders in bringing your heart, mind and soul closer. This process gives new meaning to "get on the same wavelength!"
